IAM To
Sponsor Second Flight Attendant Conference – After
the positive response to last year’s first-ever Flight
Attendant Conference, the IAM has announced that it will
sponsor a second conference April 10th through
April 13th, 2007, at the IAM William W.
Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood,
MD. Participants will include your Local Lodge Officers and
Grievance Committee Members as well as any flight attendant
members who want to attend on a voluntary basis.
Transportation to and from the conference will be provided
along with meals and lodging. Topics at the conference will
include contract familiarization, the Family Medical Leave
Act and the history of the Union movement in America. If
you would like to attend please contact your Local Lodge
President as soon as possible so we can plan for the number
of interested participants. We look forward to seeing you!
IAM District Lodge 142 Announces Scholarship Competition –
The 2007 District Lodge 142 Scholarship Program will be an
essay competition open to all members in good standing, as
well as their legal children who are 2007 graduating high
school seniors. The winners of the competition will receive
scholarship tuition of $1,000.00, to be paid directly to the
college or accredited institution of higher learning. To
apply for the competition, a fully completed application
form together with an essay must be sent by U.S. Mail to the
District Office and postmarked no later than midnight, April
30th, 2007. Winners will be announced on June 30th,
2007. Application forms and specific rules and regulations
are available through your Local Lodge. Additionally, the
General Chairperson assigned to your base can provide
answers to any other inquiries concerning the entire

ExpressJet To Operate 10
Embraers For Delta – ExpressJet Airlines has
reached an agreement to operate 10 Embraer 145XRs for Delta
Air Lines. Continental cut the planes from its service
agreement with ExpressJet last year. The aircraft will
start service with Delta in June.

Transportation Department is preparing for a major March and
Rally on May 17, 2007, in Washington, DC. Thousands of
working men and women from every state of the Union will

former PAN-AM Flight Attendants that the I.U.F.A.
Trust Distribution has concluded it’s participation in the
PAN-AM bankruptcy and the trustee now plans to distribute
the trust funds to former I.U.F.A. members and terminate the
trust. If you were a former dues-paying member between
November 1st, 1985, and December 1st,
1991, you are entitled to a share of this trust. You can
