IAM Flight Attendants, ExpressJet Airlines Reach Tentative
Agreement – July 10, 2006 – Your IAM Flight
Attendant Negotiating Committee today announced a tentative
agreement for new contract terms between ExpressJet Airlines
and its 1,200 IAM-represented Flight Attendants. ExpressJet
is a regional partner of Continental Airlines. Despite the
dire condition of the entire airline industry and a
coordinated attack on union-won wages and benefits, the IAM
was able to achieve a total compensation package that is the
best in the regional industry. Each ExpressJet Flight
Attendant will receive the complete text of the tentative
agreement by mail and have the opportunity to attend
informational meetings to have any questions answered prior
to voting. Highlights of the agreement and details of
times, dates and locations of the informational meetings and
ratification voting will be forthcoming. Your IAM Flight
Attendant Negotiating Committee unanimously recommends
approval of this tentative agreement. Thank you for your
continued solidarity and support. Sincerely and
fraternally, William O’Driscoll, President-Directing General
Chairperson, District 142.

Continental Airlines will announce its second quarter
financial results Thursday, July 20th at 9:30am
CDT. Some Wall Street airline analysts are predicting that
Continental will make a profit despite record-setting fuel
prices. They credit record-high load factors, fuel
surcharges and fare increases for the possible improved
performance.
Comair, Union May Return To Negotiations - A
bankruptcy judge may postpone ruling on Comair's request to
void its flight attendants contract and urge the two sides
to negotiate an agreement. Both sides say they want to
continue talks, but Comair says time is running out. Comair,
a unit of Delta Air Lines, operates under bankruptcy
protection.
Northwest, Union Lawyers Meet Today With Bankruptcy Judge -
