Grievance


Please select the proper category to the left that best applies to the situation resulting in the need for representation. See explanations of each below.

Contract Violation - This is for violations of the contract between Continental or ExpressJet and the Flight Attendants.

Discipline - This is if you are involved in an incident that may result in discipline.  You are advised to never meet with a supervisor without union representation regarding any incident that may result in your being placed on a step of discipline. Use this selection as soon as possible following any incident and wait for a response before speaking with a supervisor.  If the need is urgent, please call the appropriate phone number at the bottom of this page.  Follow the guidelines below, it will allow you the best chance for a favorable outcome.

Do not speak with or write anything down for the company or any of it's agents until it has been reviewed by a grievance representative and approved.

 

Do not speak with other Flight Attendants about your case as this information may be distorted and find it's way to ears that should not be privy to it. 

 

Let your grievance representatives do their jobs; follow their advice. 

 

Do not be intimidated by anyone to give information that can and will be used against you, speak with and follow the direction of your grievance representative.

 

Please attend all scheduled meetings, let your grievance representative know how to contact you in the event of changes or cancellations.

Hotels - This category is for reporting a satisfactory/unsatisfactory hotel, van service, location, or incident.  Please keep in mind that it is necessary for each crew member to submit a separate report as the company requires at least three separate reports to address an issue.

If you are called for a meeting that may result on your being placed on a step of discipline, call the appropriate number below with your information.  Advise your supervisor that you are waiting for representation before a meeting can take place.
