ExpressJet Flight Attendant Negotiations Update

TO:      All ExpressJet Flight Attendants

As you know the National Mediation Board has assigned  Federal Mediator Linda Puchala to the continuation of ExpressJet negotiations.  We are working with the Company and the Mediator to arrange a complete negotiations schedule.

In preparation for the negotiations ahead, we would like to begin soliciting your contract suggestions, explain the mediation process and recruit volunteers to assist us with the difficult tasks ahead.

Preparations will begin with informal face-to-face membership meetings with members of the ExpressJet Union negotiation committee at each base.  Discussions regarding the impact of the recent Comair bankruptcy, the American Eagle tentative agreement and other commuter carrier developments in the industry will be presented and discussed.  At these meetings we will also encourage you to ask questions and express your comments and concerns.

Information regarding the dates, times and locations for each of these meetings will be made available as soon as meeting room and travel arrangements are completed.

We look forward to meeting with all of you at these meetings.

Sincerely and fraternally,

William O'Driscoll

President - Directing General Chairman
